March 16, 1998 - NEW 4 PIN DIP Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO)

Norwalk, CT... Vectron International (VI) has introduced a series of low profile 4 Pin DIP oven controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs) available in frequencies from 10 kHz to 24 MHz.

The model CO-770 provides exceptionally low aging rates and temperature stabilities in an extremely small package measuring only 0.50" x 0.80" x 0.35" (12.7mm x 20.3mm x 8.9mm).

The oscillators provide aging rates of <3 x 10-9/day average, 7 x 10-7/first year and <4 x 10-6 for 10 years with temperature stabilities from ±5 x 10-8 over 0°C to 50°C. Wider temperature ranges are available to -40°C to +85°C. Phase noise at 1 kHz is -135dBc/Hz.

The CO-770 series finds applications in networking equipment, wireless communication systems, telecom transmission and switching equipment, instrumentation, and various timing requirements that need high stability performance in a small package.

The Vectron International group designs, manufactures and markets frequency generation and control products using the very latest techniques in both standard crystal and surface acoustic wave (SAW) based designs from DC to microwave frequencies. Products include crystals and crystal oscillators; SAW filters and components; and clock and data recovery products used in telecommunication and data communication applications.
